Chatrad Community Guidelines
Chatrad works because strangers are willing to appear on camera and say hello. That stays fun only when everyone on the other side of the screen feels safe and respected. These guidelines are the ground rules every Chatrad user agrees to — they sit alongside the Terms of Service, and breaking them has real consequences.
1. One Idea Behind Every Rule
A random video chat is a small leap of faith: one tap, and a real person appears. Rules are what make that leap feel safe enough to take. Everything below reduces to a single idea — treat the person on your screen the way you would want someone you care about to be treated.
2. Staying Respectful on Video Chat
Staying respectful on video chat is mostly common sense, but common sense deserves to be written down:
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech — ever, in any language.
- No attacking anyone for their race, nationality, religion, gender, sexuality, disability, or appearance.
- A skip or a "no" is a complete answer. Do not pressure anyone to stay, to show more, or to move to another app.
- Remember that the face on your screen belongs to a real person having a real day.
3. Public Matching Stays Clothed
Public matching on Chatrad is a clothed, everyone-welcome space. Nudity, sexual content, and sexually suggestive behavior are not allowed there — the person you land on did not sign up for that, and many are chatting from shared or public spaces themselves. Accounts that ignore this rule are removed quickly.
4. Strictly Adults Only
Chatrad is 18+, no exceptions. No minor may hold an account or appear on camera — alone or alongside an adult. Any sexual content involving a minor is banned everywhere on the platform and is reported to the relevant authorities, not just moderated away. If you suspect someone is underage, report them and we will verify.
5. Consent and Other People's Content
- Never record, screenshot, or rebroadcast another user's video, voice, or messages without their clear permission.
- Never share anyone's personal information — real name, address, workplace, contact details — on or off the platform.
- No scams, no begging for money or gift cards, no fake giveaways, no phishing links.
- No impersonating another user or a member of the Chatrad team.
6. Report and Block: Two Buttons That Work
Every conversation on Chatrad comes with two tools, and using them is never rude. Block ends contact instantly and permanently — that person cannot match with you again. Report flags the behavior to our moderation team with the context they need to act. You never owe anyone your camera or your patience; when a call feels wrong, skip first and report second. 7. Moderation Never Sleeps
Moderation at Chatrad runs 24/7 — a mix of automated detection and a human review team that reads every report. Reports are triaged by severity: anything involving minors, threats of harm, or illegal activity jumps the queue and can be escalated to law enforcement. Because the community spans the whole world and every time zone, there is no hour of the day when a report sits unread until morning.
8. When Rules Get Broken
We would rather warn than ban — but we will ban. Consequences follow a ladder, and how high we start depends on how serious the violation is:
- Warning — a first, minor slip. The rule is pointed out and the account carries a mark.
- Feature limits — matching, messaging, or purchases restricted for a period.
- Temporary suspension — the account is frozen while the case is reviewed.
- Permanent ban — for severe or repeated violations. Severe cases skip the earlier steps entirely.
Anything involving minors, exploitation, or credible threats goes straight to permanent removal and, where the law requires, to the authorities.
